Bluebird Cafe in Nortd Liberty

My daughter's favorite restaurant! Love the breakfast especially. Food is wonderful, and I had enough to take home for another meal.

Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns was superb. Great $10 value. The service as usual was outstanding. Great location. 1 mile from my office. A nice walk on a newly constructed wide sidewalk on the westside of HWY 965. Going back for their pancakes next week.

Don't bother to order a Reuben sandwich. I love them and order them everywhere, but never here again. Such a disappointment. You almost can't find the corned beef. I even brought 1/2 home to look for it, but when opened up there were only a few little chunks here and there.

Great breakfast here! I had a Steak and Wake 3 egg omelette which consists of cubes of steak and asparagus under provolone cheese with a swizzle of really good (and hot) stone ground mustard. You also receive hash-brown potatoes and two slices of toast (wheat, white, rye or sourdough). I asked for, and received, some peanut butter to smear on my toast!

Stopped in on a busy Thursday afternoon for lunch and was not disappointed. My waitress recommended the French toasted cinnamon rolls, with the addition of chocolate chips, bananas and walnuts. This was a fantastic combination along with a side of bacon. Service was good considering the crowd and I hit the tail end of the lunch rush.

The steak and eggs are absolutely magnificent. Bluebird Cafe has a very down to earth atmosphere and fantastic service. I would whole heartedly suggest you come for breakfast at least once in your life.

i have yet to get a meal here that i have not liked. this place is the best. So much flavor in everything. and the coffee is amazing.

Best breakfast joint I’ve been to in a LONG time. We had to wait 20-30 minutes, but it was worth every minute & more! Excellent!!!

Good food, quick service, and quaint atmosphere. It has a classic diner esthetic with quick service. They are always hopping, especially during breakfast times, but their efficiency makes the wait for a table not long at all. Food is quick out of the kitchen and very good. They have all the classic breakfast staples, with some of their own specialties. They also have a good lunch menu. Prices are not bad at all, you can get a nice breakfast for 2 for $25. The restaurant is clean and well kept as well. Overall a great breakfast or lunch stop.

I love eating here! The service is quick and their staff are also fun to interact with. The atmosphere is also very inviting and relaxing!

Met friends for breakfast and everyone enjoyed their food , except youngest who thought scrambled eggs tasted to yolky (=p) Cinnamon roll French toast wowed the table and the huevos rancheros wa as also a hit. Servers were very freindly and accommodating and kept all our drinks full.

Probably the best spot in town for breakfast, but lunch is good too! Get there early or you will be waiting between 8 and 10. Great service even when they are busy.

Cozy environment, good customer service, and good food. It's weird to say customer service because I didnt feel like I was treated like a customer, more like a friend. It was my first time there.

Great diner/cafe with excellent food and service. Everyone at my table got breakfast items, but I am sure their other meals are just as good. Eggs cooked perfectly (including poached) and everything tasted amazing. If you get hash browns go with the Krakatoa version, but know they have some kick. Can't wait to go back!

The cornbeef hash was so delicious, all of the ingredients were fresh! Second only to our waitress lol. Wish I wasn't from out of town, I'd come here weekly.

Busy place but there was just 2 of us so we sat at the bar. Food was great and came out fast. Service was excellent. Coffee was good and they let us take it to go. I would definitely return!

A small cafe. Booths and a sitdown bar. A hostess sat us at a booth. Waitress came right away and got us our drinks. Coffee was made fresh. Alcohol is available, for those so inclined. Not a large menu. Breakfast is served all day. I ordered the crab cake appetizer. Loved it! Made with real crab. The best crab cakes I have ever eaten. The presentation was also excellent. I also ordered "The Ah-nold Club". Again, fantastic! One of the best sandwiches ever. My date ordered the hamburger. Also very good. The sandwiches came with fries. I wuld very muck like to try more of their food. For excellent food this is the place to come. Bring your date. The only thing negative is the restroom needed a thorough cleaning. Otherwise, Recommend!

Superb food! I have eaten here countless times. Krakatoa fries have amazing heat kick and flavor. Added heat in the ghost pepper aioli. Best on the Menu. I have an amazing meal everytime. Breakfast is just as good.

Great place for breakfast. Good food and reasonable prices plus friendly servers make this a wake up restaurant. They make a good eggs benedict, French toast and omelets. Fresh hash browns add to the experience.

This restaurant is the bee's knees. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. For breakfast, my go-to is the amazing Krakotoa omelet, and for lunch I LOVE their Cobb salad with housemade ranch. Their Bloody Marys are incredible, and I always have to get an iced tea because it's literally the best I've ever tasted. I take a dessert to-go nearly every time I go, because I never have any room left in my tummy after my meal, but MUST have whatever their daily special is, because they have yet to disappoint me in the slightest. My very most favorite in all of North Liberty, for sure.

Very busy on a Saturday morning! The food and service were great. Good coffee too! Had an excellent chicken fried steak and a cinnamon roll. Will definitely come back again.

Server was attentive and very friendly, the food was hot and perfectly grilled. Probably the best salad I have had in quite some time. I ordered the Cobb salad without blue cheese. The avocado was perfectly ripe and the nicely sized piece of grilled chicken was steaming and moist. We enjoyed our experience but most other people around us ordered breakfast and it looked amazing. Piled high and picture perfect. I was surprised to see that a breakfast type cafe had a beer and drink menu. According to their sign they make lattes as well so next time I will try that a a big plate of eggs and hash browns.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast for breakfast! Just had my first experience and now I understand why the locals love it. The price is right and the portions are good. The Chicken fried steak and eggs is a great try as well. Turn on 🍒 St. for the best!

They won my loyalty when they served real tea, well steeped. The breakfasts are delicious, and if they’re a little on the pricey side, it’s at least in part because the portions are generous. The (quite) young staff are energetic, but a little inexperienced at reading cues. I’d visit again in a heartbeat, and I’d definitely bring my kids.

Service is top-notch and food is always good

The food is seemingly inconsistent. I've tried three times and it's always either bland or too salty. The service is fine but the food leaves much to be desired.

The owners as well as the staff make sure to know you if you become a regular. My busband and I loved them so much we had lunch there on our wedding day and they had about 30mins notice for about 15 people! I love them and their food is tasty. What is even better, is if you have severe allergies they cook on separate cookers etc for you! So considerate!

Excellent coffee! Also, the breakfast and lunch selections are great. Personal favorites are the Krakatoa Omelet and Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Can get during Saturday and Sunday breakfast/brunch rushes

I ordered fries, they gave me hash browns. They didn't give my husband toast. We had to tell them about it. I would have liked more coffee, or have set a coffee carafe at the table so we could serve ourselves, as we saw fit. I don't think I'll come back, if I had a choice.

Best place to eat in North Liberty. Great cinnamon roll french toast. Have never had a bad meal here. Good food, priced right with friendly professional servers.

The service was great here. They had a lengthy wait time and still got us a table quickly and we were able to eat and make it to our event. The was absolutely delicious.

Great spot for breakfast/brunch! I'm sure it's always good but that's all I've been for. Prices are reasonable, food and drinks are excellent. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Every time I've ever been it's been packed and we've had to wait to be seated, but that's a sign of a good place to eat!
